24&25 week bumpdate

How far along? 24 & 25 weeks

Total weight gain: 40 pounds My doctor is not concerned at all about this he said that in his experience the healthiest twins have been ones where the mama gained well over 60 pounds.
Maternity clothes? All day everyday when I’m home it’s maternity yoga pants allll the time.
Stretch marks? No new ones. Using lotion twice a day morning and night. I know they are coming and I’m okay with it. Heck once these babies are born and healthy I will have earned those stretch marks

Sleep: It’s a lot of work to roll over in bed. Plus I have been having horrible insomnia some nights so I just take sleep when I can get it.
Best moment this week: We celebrated B’s 5th birthday and I got a massage it was ahhhmazing. Plus we got to see them on a sonogram.
Miss Anything? I can’t wait to sleep on my stomach!
Movement: Yes two ninjas in there.

Food cravings: Kraft Mac n Cheese you know the kind in the blue box? Yeah that plus I really have been digging eggs. Chip dip has come back with vengeance. Plus I have been digging those little halo oranges however they give me the worst heartburn.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just heartburn after certain things I have really cut down on the sweets/grease filled foods so that has helped. I think I have more acid reflux than heartburn because sometimes I will throw up a little bit after I eat no matter what it is and I’m sure that is just due to the lack of room my stomach has.
 Gender: Boy and Girl
Labor Signs: Nope

Symptoms: Just getting bigger by the day and I’m okay with that. Oh yeah plus my first bloody nose ever in my life this week. That was crazy.
Belly Button in or out? In and out depends on the babies movement
Wedding rings on or off? My band is off but my engagement ring is on.
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY!
Looking forward to: Monday Michael and I have the whole day off together to get our shopping for the twins done. I’m so excited to have that checked off our list.
Grayson: He came to our sonogram with us last week and loved seeing the babies. He then said he was naming is brother don’t touch my toys and his sister cereal. Good choices! Ha!
So at the beginning of last week I got a call that I failed my 1 hour glucose test. I was super bummed. I really didn’t want to do the 3 hour. But I decided to just get it done and over with so the next day (Tuesday) I decided to work from home and go get my 3 hour test done first thing in the morning. Let me just say that 100 gram drink was so bad. It was like drinking kool-aid that had tripled the sugar in it. Plus after having to fast and drink it on an empty stomach I had a headache the rest of the day. Anyway, I went to the doctors on Thursday where we got the two thumbs up that the babies were doing awesome weighing in at 1 pound 13 ounces (baby girl) and 1 pound 12 ounces (baby boy). I then asked him about my glucose test and he said he’s not surprised I failed it because I have two placentas and that most people pregnant with multiples fail the one hour. Plus I just failed it. Like the cut off is 130 I was at 134. He has no doubt that I will pass my 3 hour and that everything is fine, and since it has been over a week and I have not heard anything I’m going by the no news is good news. We also talked about working and he has agreed that as long as my body can handle it and the babies are doing okay that I can work up until my c-section. That makes me so happy because some doctors in our area are quick to pull out of work and I would go crazy not working. I feel better about everything in the last week. Plus seeing my two babies with my biggest baby was awesome. Grayson loved seeing the sonogram and my mom got to come too so that was special. I guess I have been having a hard time because people find it okay to comment on my size. I get a lot of “You’re so big and still have such a long way to go I would slow down on the eating if I were you” or “You’re not going to make it to term you will have those babies early” and my favorite “There is no way you will be able to work and take care of Grayson much longer get ready for bed rest” Ugh! The last thing I want to hear is that I can’t take care of my boy. I just can’t believe that people think its okay to say things like that to anyone. But I’m doing better, trying to remember perspective and my doctor says I’m doing good and he is the one that knows. Plus this week when I was talking to Michael I said that we have anywhere from 10 to 13 weeks until the babies come. He told me to stop counting in weeks because it sounds too soon and to use months until we get to the last month. Ha! This pregnancy is flying by!

Love that it's Friday Love that its Friday and we have a beautiful weekend ahead of us! Linking up with Andrea today! One These PJ's. When we first got married (and even before I was married really) I used to wear cute PJ's to bed and then I started to wear not so cute PJ's to bed so I ordered some new ones and OMG girls get these now. So so soft so so comfy and under $20.00! Plus they have pockets!   Two While your shopping at Kohls throw some of these picture frames in your cart! Just for fun! I love that they are easy to change out and have a distressed look! Plus they can sit on a shelf or be hung on the wall. Love! Three We have been swimming like crazy and that equals all the things that go with swimming like a million towels and swim suits. My bathroom was a mess. I usually never wash my swim suits I just rinse them out and hang dry they last a lot longer doing it that way and so I had things hanging every where! So I ord

A nice little sweet spot

The sweet spot…. We seem to have hit one. I feel like we have not been in a sweet spot since the twins were about 6 months old. You know before they were mobile and can get into a ton of mischief. When kids are 0-6 months they still like to be held they eat mostly bottles and they mostly just stay in one spot. No issues, you can go places and even though you have to pack up your whole house to be prepared you can relax. And if you are in my family someone is always willing to hold or feed or change a baby. 7-months to 2.5 years old is what I refer to as the lost years. You have so many things you have to do for them they are not potty trained and they are mobile and get into EVERYTHING. Going outside is more work than its worth and with twins they scatter in opposite directions. Three on one is so hard handle in big open spaces. I would often find myself skipping outside time because the work was just too much for me. When the twins turned 3 and Grayson was 6 it felt like we had a

Home Schooling

Ah home schooling something that all of the country was thrown into. March 13 th was the last day that Grayson went to school and Charlotte and Marshalls last day was March 12 th . We got the call on March 15 th that school was closed for 2 weeks and that a pick up for at home materials would be on Tuesday. It was not required just suggested and so we loosely did school work. A worksheet here, spelling words here, some math problems ya know simple things. We truly believed that 2 weeks and they would be back in the classroom that is what the district presented as happening and so the distance learning was just to occupy time not to really learn anything new. Everything we were given was review.  Then we got the notification March 30 th we were closed again for another 2 weeks. Again, we were being loose with the learning because I was now working from home all but one day a week and had all three kids home and lets be honest it was a lot. Michael was still working 4-5 days a wee
