How far along?  19 weeks over halfway there!!!! Total weight gain:  The holidays did me in I’m up 18 ish pounds. I say ish because they weigh you before you pee and with all your clothes on and hello it’s winter I have on 3 shirts, jeans and boots. So who knows how much plus I went right after lunch with a full belly. My doctor didn’t seem too concerned. Maternity clothes?  Yes maternity clothes with some regular tops still mixed in Stretch marks?  No new ones. Using lotion nightly after my shower and in the morning Sleep:  Horrible this week. I woke up several times covered in sweat and just could not get comfortable. I had to start taking a Tylenol before bed just to be able to fall asleep because my back was so bad at the end of the day. Best moment this week : Christmas!!! Grayson was adorable, and we got some cute things for the twins. Miss Anything?  I officially gave up grocery shopping and that was hard and I shed tears over it. I fell bad puttin

Bumpdate week 17

How far along?  17 weeks Total weight gain:  I stepped on the scale at home 10 pounds. Not too bad. My doctor told me between 10 and 15 by the new year so we are right on track. Maternity clothes?  Yes maternity clothes with some regular tops still mixed in Stretch marks?  No new ones. Using lotion nightly after my shower! Sleep:  Pretty good. Still with my pregnancy pillow I wake up on my back all wrapped up in the pillow so I try to lay on my side as much as possible but these hips don’t lie and they hurt sometimes Best moment this week : Making cookies with Grayson and I feel like I have for sure popped out these last 2 weeks. Plus we got the windows put in both the kids rooms upstairs and we finished Grayson’s dresser for his room. Miss Anything?  No but I know the end is near on doing a lot of my normal things and I will miss that. Movement:  Little flutters here or there it’s very sporadic. Food cravings:  Cookies, chocolate, oreos. I have for sure st

All About My Big Boy

I feel like lately this has been all about pregnancy. I mean it consumes a ton of our time because there is a lot of prep work that goes into having twins but I don't want to overlook my boy. The one who made me Mama. He's pretty amazing. He is so smart and funny and a lover. He has to give me a million kisses before bed and when he is not feeling good he has to have his Mommy. We went on a little shopping trip just the two of us to get some small things from him for Daddy and he loved every second of it. He could not get enough of picking! things! out! for! my! Daddy! I soaked it up too because the magic in a child's eyes at this time of year is amazing. Plus his one request for a gift for daddy was a jingle bell! I panicked that we would not be able to find them but they had an ornament with a single jingle bell and it a snowman that said Dad. Perfect! He carried that ornament through the store so proud. We went to the Rain Forrest Cafe and he loved it. H

Making Christmas Memories

We had a fun Christmas/Busy weekend this weekend. Friday- I grabbed Grayson from school, got baby donuts and then went and grabbed Lib and B so that they could all go to a movie at the library with Aunt Halli. I picked them (love having the van that they can all fit in!) dropped off some mail at the Post Office and then we headed to pick up Michael and make our way to Aunt Halli's work. We dropped off the kiddos and then headed to get fingers and fries from Ed's ( a local dive bar with the best finger/wing sauce ever) we went home and ate way to much and just relaxed. Grayson spent the night at GiGi's house after the movie so I got some good solid sleep. Saturday- My Mom clock had be up at 6:30. It seems that I can't sleep past 7 anymore so I just got up and got to work on laundry. I changed all the sheets on the beds and washed all the clothes and put them away! That is a huge thing for me because sometimes we live out of baskets for weeks days before I put

16 week bumpdate!

How far along?  16 weeks Total weight gain:  No idea and probably a lot because this holiday season is all the food I love.  Maternity clothes?  Yes maternity clothes with some regular tops still mixed in Stretch marks?  No new ones. Using lotion nightly after my shower! Sleep:  Pretty good. Still with my pregnancy pillow but my back now had been acting up so it sometimes takes me forever to get a comfortable position Best moment this week : Finishing up our Christmas Decorations. Watching Grayson hang the ornaments was amazing he loved looking at them all. Miss Anything?  No but I know the end is near on doing a lot of my normal things and I will miss that. Movement:  Little flutters here or there it’s very sporadic. Food cravings:  Grilled chicken César salad and double stuffed Oreos, cheese quesadillas and BLT subs minus the T because holy heartburn.  Anything making you queasy or sick:  No smoothies and the smell of lunchmeat is stil

How being pregnant with Twins is so so different.

When I found out it was twins I didn't think much of my body. I thought oh crap 2 babies and all the things we needed and how would I ever sleep again and oh the diapers and oh twice the babies to smell and smooch and watch grow. You know all that stuff. Then around week 10-11 I started to pop and someone made a comment that I was already "soooo big" I was slightly offended and just brushed it off. Then at 12 weeks I could not get comfortable sleeping and grocery shopping was knocking the wind out of me. My body felt like it had been through the ringer. I was so so confused. Why was this happening? I remember moving and grooving with Grayson all the way up until 37-38 weeks. Granted I was slower but my body wasn't achy and I could still grocery shop and clean my house. Now? Not so much We went back to the doctors on 11/24 and I asked him about the pain I was in and he just laughed at me. I guess that is normal with twin pregnancy's. That being on my feet
