23 week bumpdate!

No pictures this week I forgot to take it before I left for work and we have not mirror that can fit my big self all in one shot!

How far along? 23 weeks

Total weight gain: No clue I have an appointment next week
Maternity clothes? Yes maternity clothes with some regular tank tops mixed in I always wear one under my brace and I love the Mossimo ones from Target but even the Larges are getting too short I may have to move up the XL just for length
Stretch marks? No new ones. Using lotion twice a day morning and night. I might be making the switch to coconut oil too.

Sleep: Off and on. I had a few bouts of insomnia this weekend and then the next day I was so dog tired it was awful. Plus if Grayson gets me up in the middle of the night to go potty (which yes!! We love that!) I am up for at least an hour after because I can’t get comfortable
Best moment this week: To be honest the babies moving has really picked up and I love the little reminders but other than that I have been having a rough week
Miss Anything? Being able to roll over in bed without pain and stomach/back sleeping. My hips are feeling the side sleeping.
Movement: Yes two ninjas in there..

Food cravings: Turkey bacon with cheese melted on it and wrapped in a whole grain tortilla. It sounds weird but it’s delicious and healthy since I measure out one serving of cheese! Cottage cheese, yogurt and still peanut butter m&m’s
Anything making you queasy or sick: It’s more heartburn than anything and this week my beloved double stuffed oreo’s have been the biggest culprit boos!
 Gender: Boy and Girl
Labor Signs: No and to be honest I wouldn’t know them if they hit me in the face. With Grayson I didn’t think I was contracting until I went in to be induced and I was having off the chart contractions. I never experience Braxton hicks so I have no idea.

Symptoms: A giant belly and the fact that the pelvic pressure has sent me into tears a few times this week.
Belly Button in or out? Flat. My belly looks fake
Wedding rings on or off? My band is off but my engagement ring is on.
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY!
Looking forward to: Our dr’s appointment next Thursday I’m ready to see the babies again
Grayson: He told his teachers he was having a brother and a sister and that Michael would take care of one and he would take care of one
My emotions are all over the place, I range from being overwhelmed, to over joyed, to panicked to crying about the affect it will have on Grayson and all the why’s and how’s that we still need to figure out. I’m finally starting to wade out of that madness and my list making and Jesus calling has helped so much. Plus being pregnant with all the hormones makes me a little over dramatic.

A weekend with a cold

For once it was not my hometown getting hit with all the snow. I feel for the other places that got nailed with all that snow however I think it's funny that they shut down the and everyone stays home. In Buffalo, NY it's just another day and we still make it to work. I guess that just shows the difference in an area.

Anyway onto the weekend.

Friday was low key. I could feel myself coming down with a head cold. Grayson had a stuffy nose and I knew it was a matter of time until I got the same thing since we kiss a lot ha! We got baby donuts and headed home for hammy subs and snuggles.
All 3 of my babies, Grayson loves to lay on my bump

Saturday Grayson requested that we watch Ratatouille and so snuggled on the couch for the morning eating breakfast and watching out movie. Then we did all the laundry. I have not problem washing, drying and folding putting it away is my downfall. I had zero empty laundry baskets so I sucked it up away all our laundry and it felt so good after. Then Grayson went down for a nap and so did I. Aunt Halli and Libby came and picked him up to go play with the kids while we went to our annual football pool party. Let me just say being the only stone cold sober person in a room of 100+ people drinking will wear you down big time. We didn't stay as late as we usually do because we had to get Grayson and I was so thankful. Michael got sick on the way home ( I think it was combo of the drinks and the rich food) and so he went right to bed. Grayson however would only sleep for hour long stretches because he kept waking himself up coughing. Finally around 2 I brought him into bed with us so that I could keep him propped up to stop the coughing. I then went downstairs to sleep around 5:00 because A) both the boys were snoring. B) I had a sliver of the bed and that does not work with this big belly and C) I could not stop coughing myself. I finally got back to sleep around 5:30 and slept until 7:30 when I could hear Grayson yelling for me from the bed saying "Oh mommmy where are you?" He came bopping down the stairs saying " Oh good der you are I was looking for you eferywhere!" Sweet boy. He was coughing his brains out so I gave him some cough medicine. Michael made breakfast and then he got to work on cleaning out the soon to be nursery and I went back to bed. I was so sore and stuffed up my body felt like it had been through a battle.

My mom called around 9 and offered to take Grayson for his lunch and nap since we were all riding together to go to my Grandma's house for my Aunt's birthday. I jumped at the offer. Grayson and I headed over to my Aunt's house (which thankfully is like 3 mins from my house) to decide on a menu for my sister's bridal shower and then my Mom took him home from there and I went home and ate and took a nap. Michael made a run to the storage until and did the grocery shopping. Once he got home we both got ready really quick and then once my parents got there we headed to Gram's house for my Aunts birthday celebration. They live in the city and it house it tiny so with all of us in there it gets cramped. The kids played in the back bedroom and so that helped with caous. We had pizza wings and cake. Then once we saw that the Pats were defeated (yes!!!!!) we headed home. It was early to bed for everyone because the weekend wiped us out.

This week is hopefully a little slower. I'm hoping this cold leaves our house and soon and that we can get some more organizing done. Our second crib comes this week(!!!) and I then we can finish ordering all the other things we still need for the twins.

Happy Monday!

22 Week Bump Date!

Snapped this right before I jumped in the shower last night and note to self that shirt is almost too short ha!

How far along? 22 weeks

Total weight gain: I’m up some absurd amount that my doctor is not concerned about details at the bottom
Maternity clothes? Yes maternity clothes with some regular tops still mixed in barely they are not becoming too short!
Stretch marks? No new ones. Using lotion twice a day morning and night.

Sleep: Off and on. So I talked to my doctor about the pelvic pain and he said that since I had a previous c-section that it was the scar tissue from that stretching and that Tylenol would help and a luke warm bath so I will start trying those
Best moment this week: Finding out we are having a little boy and a little girl. We are so excited and in love with the babies already. And finding out with family and hearing the cheers was amazing.
Miss Anything? Being able to roll over in bed without pain and stomach/back sleeping. My hips are feeling the side sleeping.
Movement: Yes two ninjas in there. Michael finally felt them this week.

Food cravings: Turkey bacon with cheese melted on it and wrapped in a whole grain tortilla. It sounds weird but it’s delicious and healthy since I measure out one serving of cheese! Cottage cheese, yogurt and still peanut butter m&m’s
Anything making you queasy or sick: Pepperoni is a no no now. I had pizza over the weekend and the heartburn was instant cheese pizza for me from now on
Gender: A prince and a princess! One of each!

Looking forward to: A night out with my man!
Grayson: He keeps saying that he doesn’t want to talk about a brother or a sister until he can burp them. Ha! I think he is getting sick of talking about the babies and not seeing them.  He did say one will be his to take care of and one will be Daddy's to take care of and he will feed them allll the bottles and burp them!

So after a rough week with Grayson being sick and an amazing weekend finding out the genders, I was super excited to go to the doctor this week. I went on Tuesday and got some pretty shocking news. I’m currently 22 weeks but my belly is measuring 30. That is 8 weeks ahead, and while measuring ahead by 4-6 weeks is normal 8 is something my doctor wants to look into. So in two weeks I go for a sonogram to check on the babies. His theory is that since I had such a large baby the first time (10 pounds 4 ounces) that my uterus knows what to do and just popped out all on its own, he also thinks that I have some large babies already in my belly so he wants to check on them. I’m hoping that’s the case because my eating has been pretty good this last month and to see such a big jump in my weight and my belly measurement was a shock. Thankfully my doctor is not concerned and just wants to keep an eye on everything.

The mystery solved

Around Thanksgiving time my sweet boy got croup. It was awful. Think fever, barking cough, runny nose and eyes and sleepless nights. We took him to the doctor and they told us it was at the tail end of it and that they wanted it to run it's course on it's own. Fine I hate putting him on medicine if we don't have to.

But the cough never really went away if he got to coughing it was still barky but it was so rare I didn't pay much attention to it.

Fast forward to New Years Eve and he is running around with his cousins and he starts wheezing and having the barking cough. Once he calmed down he was fine. We decided to see how he did during the night and he was fine, well the next night he was awful. As in woke up at 5 in the morning and couldn't catch his breath he was wheezing so hard. It was of course a sunday so I took him to Urgent Care and he got put on a steriod.

Then on Wednesday he wasn't better at all so I took him to his primary doctor and they gave him a nebulizer and said to do treatments before bed and in the morning, and to follow up in a week. My boy did these like a champ. He seriously was so good for the 8-10 mins that he needed to hold it in his mouth. However right after he was horrible. Worse than before. The cough and wheeze never went away. He sounded like someone having an asthma attack but his lungs were crystal clear.

So we went back on Wednesday and they told us that they thought it was an inflamed epiglotis and that we would need to see an ENT asap. I just wanted my sweet love to breath normal again and be able to play and have fun without having to stop and catch his breath so the next morning I called an ENT that works out of the Children's Hospital here and the first thing they said was that they were booking in March. I told them we had seen the DR before back when Grayson had sinus issues and she told me her soonest then was February but then she said let me see if we have any cancellations and just like that we had an appointment at 10:45 that day.

I got Grayson from daycare and my dad met me there to help with transporting Grayson in and out of the car and office. So we went in waited a sweet forever and the Dr. said that he does not think it is the epiglotis and that he things he does have some inflamation in his throat however nothing that can't be solved with a steriod. So we are now on the steriod and after one dose he made a huge improvement! Finally. I was having a small freak out because anything with the epiglotis that I saw online was not good and so we are thanful that it is a simple steriod. Plus our doctor said that his last resort would be to do a scope because he does not want to put him under.

I will say having him on the steriod has been no walk in the park. It was such a high dosage to get it cleared up quickly to prevent further damage that he was a hyenna. I mean he had so much energy, was a bottomless pit and just was a wild boy. He finished his last dose on Sunday night and I'm so happy to report we have our calmer boy back this week.Anytime it comes to the health of someone in my family I carry it super heavy on my heart, and being pregnant my hormonal mind was running crazy, I'm so thankful that it was a simple fix!

Show and Tell Tuesday..... I confess

It's Show and Tell Tuesday and I'm linking up with Andrea

So here are my Momfessionals

I sometimes feed my kid cake for breakfast/lunch. If we have had a party the day before and there is cake on the counter he sees and it wants it. Rather than have a fight, him and I both indulge in a piece of cake, hey you only live once.

Since Grayson has moved into a big boy bed he has fought naps like it's his job so I let him fall asleep on me on the couch downstairs and then I carry him up. It's much less hassle and I don't get all stressed out.

I hide m&m's because I love them and so do my boys and sometimes they will eat things before I can get to them so I have to hide them

I cried when I had to give up grocery shopping. It was my "ME" time, but this pregnancy is killing me so I had to give it up.

I love when Grayson sleeps in my bed. It's usually for just an hour or two in the morning when he wakes up to go potty it's easier to pull him in bed with me and then I get these gems of pictures that just make my heart happy.

I tell Grayson things are broken/ we are out of things so that he will stop asking. Like the other night he wanted ice cream I told him we were out and then after he went to bed I had a nice big bowl. I told him the shower was broken the other day because he wanted to play with the sprayer and that can turn into such a mess. Another favorite he will wake up at 3 in the morning and want to watch TV in my bed I tell him the TV is broken and that Daddy will have to fix it when he gets home. Lord help me when this stops working.

I let Grayson watch TV in the mornings while I get ready for work. It's just easier also when I have to get ready to go somewhere and need to shower the iPad or TV are my best friends. I have no shame #survivalmode

And my last one is I'm kind of nervous on how I'm going to manage 3 kids 3 and under. My head has not yet figured that one out yet.

Happy Tuesday!

It's a........... Gender Reveal and the weekend

Friday night I scooped up Grayson and we got our baby donuts and headed home we had a simple dinner and then dipped some oreos in blue and pink chocolate to put on our desert table. I got everything around that I could for the next day so that I was not running around like crazy

Saturday we got up and lounged for a little bit wrapped the present for the birthday party Grayson was attending and then got our meatballs in the crockpot for the gender reveal later that afternoon. Michael got home early so I was able to jump in the shower and then my sister came and picked up Grayson to take him to the birthday party that was from 1-3 and then she brought him right over to our party that was from 3-5. We had a very busy day that day.

My mom came and picked me up and we headed to set up for the party and then Michael and my dad came later so that Michael had time to catch a nap and get ready.

We got everything set up, people started to arrive and then around 4 we cut the cakes!

I had this little guessing station set up and at the end the votes were 2 boys but we are having.....

One of each!  A boy and a girl!!!! I'm beyond excited as is everyone else. Baby A is our Girl and she is the bigger of the two at this point and Baby B is our boy. We have names picked out but will not be sharing those until delivery. After the party was all cleaned up we headed to Ed's ( a local dive bar) to celebrate a family birthday. I was exhausted so my saint of a mother offered to take Grayson overnight so that I could rest and get a good nights sleep.

I slept from 9-8:30 in the morning and I needed it. I for sure over did it on Saturday at the party and I was pretty sore all day so I sat with my feet up and binge watched some TV. It started to snow and once Grayson got home we just snuggled on the couch and enjoyed some quiet family time.

I'm so excited to know the genders and now it's all bring on some pink! We go to the doctors tomorrow and I can't wait to hear my sweet babes heartbeats!

Happy Monday!

21 week bumpdate!

Black was not the best option for a bump picture but beleive me it's there!

How far along? 21 weeks over halfway there!!!!

Total weight gain: No idea and honestly I’m not too worried about it. I had a long talk with a friend that is a nurse and she said this to me and a lightbulb went off  she said “your body knows what it needs during this pregnancy maybe your gaining all this weight to help your babies early on so that if you do deliver early they got a chance to beef up a little bit” She’s right! My body was made to do this and so I’m listening to it.
Maternity clothes? Yes maternity clothes with some regular tops still mixed in barely they are not becoming too short!
Stretch marks? No new ones. Using lotion twice a day morning and night.

Sleep: Off and on. The pelvic pressure is insane and I feel it most at night. I have it in the notes in my phone to ask my dr about it next week at our appointment
Best moment this week: Our gender reveal is this weekend so we have been working on final prep for that. It’s crazy to think that we will know so soon what we are having. Plus we have some baby names nailed down and that will change depending on the genders.
Miss Anything? For some reason this week I really wanted a glass of wine. First time this whole pregnancy. And a deli sub as in not hot I really wanted a ham and cheese cold sub.
Movement: Yes two ninjas in there. I can feel them from the outside but I swear they know when Michael is trying to feel them and stop.

Food cravings: Turkey back with cheese melted on it wrapped in a whole grain tortilla. It sounds weird but it’s delicious and healthy since I measure out one serving of cheese! Cottage cheese, yogurt and still peanut butter m&m’s
Anything making you queasy or sick: I feel like I’m okay right now nothing affecting me too much.
Gender: We will know this weekend!

Looking forward to: Gender reveal!!!!
Grayson: He still likes to kiss my belly and snuggle his babies sometimes. He knows he’s going to be a big brother and he told me he will help feed and burp them.
I’m trying to focus on the happy things like two babies but really this week has been rough on my body and I know why it’s because I have been over doing it. I will have more information on that after a specialist appointment today for Grayson because we are hoping for some answers when it comes to him. I’m just hoping for a relaxing weekend so that my body and rest a little bit.
