Our weekend.

This weekend was awesome. Michael was off of work and so for once we got have a true weekend together. Friday I scooped up my biggest boy from school and we went and had baby doughnuts together. Normally we go through the drive thru but on this day he asked to go and eat them inside and so we did. That boy is just so sweet and melts my heart. I love him so hard and he just lights up my world. We had the sweetest conversation about his day at school and how he wondered what his babies did at home all day with Mema. Then he told me I was beautiful and asked me to be his forever doughnut date, which of course I said yes too. We got home ate dinner and did power hour. It was nice to be able to stay up and spend some time with Michael after all the kiddos went to bed instead of him having to go to bed too. Saturday I let Michael sleep in a little bit. Sissy woke up first and her and I snuggled and then big brother woke up and the playing started. Next followed Marshy an

Catch up

I feel like I haven't written a post in forever and well it's been a while. But not because of my usual 3 kids keep me super busy and insane thing  Nope this time it was because I had JURY DUTY Ugh. For 2 weeks I had to go sit in court everyday and listen to a trial. It was difficult to listen to some of the details and on Friday (finally!) we got to deliberate and we reached a verdict and now I will not have to serve again for at least 6 years! This was challenging for many reasons. I had to figure out certain work things and then the whole who would pick the kids up and how was dinner going to get made and well that was all a headache.  But we made it through. One silver lining to the Jury Duty thing was that I could go watch Grayson skate on Tuesday since the rink is right down the road from the courthouse. So that was a sweet surprise. Friday night I was emotionally exhausted. And we were getting ready to leave to go to dinner for my

Workin' It Wednesday 01-2017

I'm linking up with Shay today to talk about how I'm going to work my new years goals. I wrote a few out here but I have more of a word I want to share that is going to help me out this year I read The Magnolia Story Mostly just to be nosy because I love that show But it really spoke to me  Specifically this word THRIVING Joanna speaks about how that word changed her and well I get it So my word for 2017 is  THRIVING as a mother as a wife in my faith as a friend in work at home in my life I have this word all over the place At home, at work, in my van. On my bookmark in my Bible. I will be THRIVING this year. I'm going to THRIVE in my relationship with God. Thriving is a choice. It's a choice to make the best of what we have and find God's grace and glory in it all. Happy Wednesday friends!

2017 Resolutions

Happy 2017 Tomorrow I will be here with a 2016 Re-cap because it was a big, crazy, blessed, hectic, learning curve kind of year.  But today I have my resolutions for you. Some are silly, some are fun, some are just for me. So here we go. -One- Laundry. Yup my resolution is to do one load a day from start to finish. And to not start another load until the previous one is complete that means put away and everything. We have more laundry now than ever (adding two babies at once will do that to you) and well it's just madness. Last year I went out and bought two more laundry baskets just because all of the other ones were full of clean folded laundry. Well not in 2017.  -Two- Read the One Year Bible. I bought this in October and decided that I wanted to do this with my husband. I just got us notebooks and we will be doing this as a Bible study every night together and reading through the Bible together and I'm so excited. We have decided that sometimes
