Coming to a weekend near you

So this weekend is going to be ah-mazazing!!!! I can't wait we have so much great stuff planned.

Saturday is the annual Witch & Crow craft show!! I live for this show. I always walk out with some great steals and cute decor for the homestead. La love it. Last year I got a cute bench that opened for storage which I had been eyeing a similar one at another store but it was $75.00 I got this one for $30!!! I mean done and done, plus it was cuter color and I got to carry my other goodies home in it. So this year we are heading there with baby G for the first time.

Sunday is the night that we are celebrating our anniversary because it is on a Thursday this year. So my wonderful mom and dad offered to take G overnight for us. I took monday off so we are going out to dinner and shopping on Sunday and then Monday is organizing city. We are getting the attic cleaned out and organized and also cleaning the house floor to ceiling. I can't wait!!!! Once it is done it is so much easier to keep it up.
You know your getting old when for your anniversary you shop for things to organize your house and are cleaning. I have already started my list of things to buy to help us organize. But I love it and would not want it any other way.

I will also be sloooooooooooowly getting out my fall decor. I don't want to wish summer away but I love my autum/halloween decor!!! I usually put it up on Labor day and leave it up until I decorate for Christmas.
I also need to get the mums and pumpkins for my front porch as well as corn stalks and hay bales.

Pictures will be taken, cider will be sipped on, and things will be bought, organized, and put away.

Four Things right now

Four things about all of us right now... Grayson One- This boy has finally found his groove in 1st grade. Kinder to 1st was a big adjustment but he's doing well now. And he is a spelling champ! He does sooooo good on his spelling tests! Two- Hockey is life for this kid. He skates twice a week (once doing a hockey specific clinic and once doing family skate see below) His skills are really growing Three- He loves reading and so we are riding that wave all the way. Four- He has to wear his glasses full time now. What started out as hey wear these when you watch TV that is farther away or when you sit farther from the board has turned into needing them full time. Our school has a local organization that comes in and does eye assessments for free for the elementary schools and they sent home a letter saying get him to the eye doctor he needs glasses (well that was the jist of it) and we since we already had glasses from his eye doctor he just started with tho...

A nice little sweet spot

The sweet spot…. We seem to have hit one. I feel like we have not been in a sweet spot since the twins were about 6 months old. You know before they were mobile and can get into a ton of mischief. When kids are 0-6 months they still like to be held they eat mostly bottles and they mostly just stay in one spot. No issues, you can go places and even though you have to pack up your whole house to be prepared you can relax. And if you are in my family someone is always willing to hold or feed or change a baby. 7-months to 2.5 years old is what I refer to as the lost years. You have so many things you have to do for them they are not potty trained and they are mobile and get into EVERYTHING. Going outside is more work than its worth and with twins they scatter in opposite directions. Three on one is so hard handle in big open spaces. Update...

Things have been…..how do I say this different lately. We have been struggling to find our footing for months now. It feels like the hits just keep on coming. On February 10 th my parents were in a very serious (awful, horrible, scary) car accident. My father suffered a stroke (we found this out later) while driving the car. My mother was the passenger and they hit a telephone pole and then flipped (it’s an estimate because no one saw the accident happen) 6-8 times and landed on the drivers side of the car 100 feet off the road. I was still at work when I got a call from an unknown number and for only reasons that God knows I answered it and it was a young girl who had pulled up on the accident and had gotten my mom out of the car and was there with them while they waited for Mercy Flight for my dad as he was unresponsive. It was gut wrenching and horrible and I felt paralyzed. My mother was taken by ambulance to the same hospital they were Mercy Flighting my father to. We got...
